What is UnIT?
UnIT is a web application (SaaS) by Hyperion S.r.l. for managing company IT assets. It brings PCs, smartphones, printers, servers, network devices, consumables, software licences, warranties and rental contracts together in a single inventory; it flags expiry dates, records who is using each device with a handover letter, allocates costs by cost centre and keeps passwords and licence keys encrypted. People sign in with their company Microsoft 365 accounts.
Who is UnIT for?
For anyone who runs a company’s IT, in-house or as a provider, and needs to know at any moment which devices and licences there are, who is using them, what they cost and when warranties, licences and rentals expire.
Do I need to install anything?
No. UnIT is a web application: you use it from the browser, without installing anything on computers or servers at your company.
How do people sign in to UnIT?
With their company Microsoft 365 account (Microsoft Entra ID). There are no new passwords to create: when a person’s account is disabled, they also lose access to UnIT.
Where is the data stored?
In Italy, inside the European Union: the application and the PostgreSQL database run on Microsoft Azure, in the Italy North region. Each organisation’s data is kept apart from the others’ directly by the database.
Can I import the inventory I already have in Excel?
Yes. UnIT reads Excel and CSV sheets, recognises columns even under different names (for example “Computer name” or “Brand”) and shows which rows will go in and which will not, with the reason, before importing.
Is UnIT available in English?
Yes. The application is in English and Italian: each person chooses their own language, and the organisation has a language for handover letters and notices.
How are passwords and licence keys protected?
They are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and a separate key for each organisation. Only people with the right role can see them, and every read is logged with name, date and time.
Can an external consultant work in our inventory?
Yes, by invitation. The owner or an administrator invites the person with their address and a role; the person signs in with their own Microsoft account and can be deactivated or removed at any time.

You pay by number of assets, with unlimited users and every feature in every plan: Essential €49 per month (up to 250 assets), Professional €129 per month (up to 1,000 assets), Enterprise from €290 per month (over 1,000 assets).
